Build once for one client. License it to the industry.
The AI venture studio model is how NextCallAgent picks clients, prices work and grows. It is also the model Sam Arami teaches at AI Venture Launch. Here it is in full.
The problem with agency work
An AI agency sells hours. Every build is bespoke, every client starts from zero, and the margin dies the day the founder stops coding.
Sam ran that business. SimpliScale took on whatever the next client needed, in whatever industry they were in. It worked well enough to exit, and it taught him that the bottleneck was never the technology. It was that nothing built for client one was worth anything to client two.
The three moves
- One dream client in a high-value vertical. A mid-market operator, roughly $5M to $50M in revenue, in an industry where a single system moves real money: healthcare, home services, financial services, insurance, real estate, legal, relocation. The client has live lead flow and live call volume, so the system has something to work on from day one.
- A custom build, paid for as a partnership. Every engagement starts with a paid audit and roadmap. Then we build the system the roadmap calls for and run it alongside the client until the number holds. Where it fits, pricing is tied to outcomes: a share of revenue, or a fee per qualified lead, instead of a flat invoice.
- License it across the vertical. Once the system works for one operator, the same build works for the others. The client's own network usually opens the door. The studio owns a product, the first client keeps a system that gets better with every new user, and nobody starts from zero again.
What it looks like in practice
A home-care lead network in the U.S. Midwest sells qualified patient leads to agencies. We rebuilt their intake end to end: paid search, an AI voice agent that qualifies every caller, live transfer to the partner agency, and a portal where agencies see, dispute and pay for each lead. Pricing moved to pay per qualified lead. The studio earns when the client earns, and the intake system is now a product any lead network in the category can run.
The pattern repeats on the clients page: a CRM with sentiment tracking built for one healthcare operator, a voice agent that replaced a 32-person call center for one home services company. Each one is a product waiting for its second customer.
What it means if you are the client
- You fund a build the studio has a standing reason to keep improving, because it becomes our product too.
- Pricing can follow outcomes. If the system does not move the number, we do not get paid the same way.
- You get the first-mover version in your industry, with your workflows shaping the product.
Where the model is taught
Sam teaches this model to operators at AI Venture Launch, a 24-week private accelerator. Students have closed first deals from $5K to seven figures with it. Named, verifiable results are on samarami.com.
